About Us

Oor Deen means “Our Faith” is a Dundee-based Islamic awareness initiative dedicated to building understanding, connection, and community through the message of Islam. Rooted in compassion and open conversation, we aim to share the beauty and values of Islam.

We provide a range of Services and Experiences

The range of services provided are for all people at different stages, including big organisations, schools and community support. Some services and experiences may typically be visiting a mosque for the first time, debreifing your organisation on what islam is, exibitions or even discussing the benefits of fasting to people interested in health.

So, perhaps you already have questions or thoughts about Islam. Wherever you are, we want to meet you there and offer support to help you move forward in a positive, mutual direction. Reach out, we’ll do our best to support you.

Spreading Peace through Awareness

We promote awareness about The Merciful God and his religion; Islam. Atleast every saturday early afternoon giving free Qurans and leaflets to the public. We help clear misconceptions and answer islamic questions the public may have.

Community, Organisation and Education

We work closely with islamic organisations across dundee so that we provide the best experience for the wider community, we offer Islamic exibitions, Mosque Tours, School talks, show and tells and much more. Here are some common areas we support various communities and organisations in:

Academia

Education is central to our values, manifesting through Isocs, lectures or academic writing amongst other forms.

Exibitions

We provide exibitions where you can experience Islam in a unique way, where you can read and see various elements

Mosque Visits

Get a tour of the mosques, see what makes it unique, all accomodating and a place of peace and worship.

School visits

We accommodate school trips. We can help you plan it from start to finish, which mosques, which dates and the full experience within the mosque

Organisation Talks

Support organisations to give talks on Islam, even if it is bringing awareness and considerations of muslim values at work settings.
