What we do
“O humanity! Indeed, We created you from a male and a female, and made you into peoples and tribes so that you may get to know one another…”
— Quran 49:13

About Us
Oor Deen means “Our Faith” — a Dundee-based Islamic awareness initiative dedicated to building understanding, connection, and community through the message of Islam. Rooted in compassion and open conversation, we aim to share the beauty and values of Islam.
We are dedicated to serving.

Education
Clearing misconceptions and teaching the true nature of Islam.

Our services are for all people at different stages — from big organisations and schools to individuals seeking community support. Whether it’s visiting a mosque for the first time, debriefing your organisation on Islam, or discussing the benefits of fasting, we’re here to help.
“And let there be from you a nation inviting to good, enjoining what is right and forbidding what is wrong, and those will be the successful.”
Academia
Education through Isocs, lectures, and academic writing.
Exhibitions
Experience Islam in a unique way — read and see various elements.
Mosque Visits
Tours of the mosques — a place of peace, worship, and welcome.
School Visits
We accommodate school trips from start to finish.
Organisation Talks
Talks on Islam for organisations and workplace settings.
Faith Support
Support for those seeking answers or exploring Islam.
Spreading Peace Through Awareness
We promote awareness about The Merciful God and His religion, Islam. At least every Saturday early afternoon we give out free Qurans and leaflets to the public. We help clear misconceptions and answer Islamic questions the public may have.
Meet us at:
Saturday, 12:30 – 14:00
Dundee City Centre
